The Road to.... White?

This is from a Mark Neumann (R-Huge Dork) ad currently running here in the Milwaukee market. In context: he's showing the "you didn't build that" quote out of context like all of the idiots. Is it me being cynical and paranoid or is the cropping of this very very strange?

I didn't see it was the tv in the ad. I have to wonder if that is the real message and if it is that is fk'd up.
