So About That Whataburger "Attack":

A suspect who allegedly assaulted a San Antonio, Texas teen for wearing one of President Donald Trump's Make America Great Again hats was arrested and charged with felony theft Thursday night.

San Antonio police detectives nabbed Kino Jimenez, 30, without incident in nearby Universal City, Texas and booked him on a theft of person charge, according to the police department.

Bail for Jimenez was set at $5,000, police said.

The arrest came after a cell phone video surfaced on Twitter showing 16-year-old Hunter Richard being verbally abused and assaulted for wearing the bright red hat early Wednesday morning inside a San Antonio outlet of the popular Whataburger fast-food chain.

The video, which was recorded by a friend of Richard and quickly went viral in online social media, shows a bearded man throwing a drink in the teen victim's face, and then yelling "you ain’t supporting s—t" as he left the eating establishment with the hat.

The search for a suspect led San Antonio detectives from a robbery unit task force to Jimenez. If convicted, he faces a minimum sentence of 180 days in jail and a maximum sentence of two years.

There's two sides to this story and do not, repeat do NOT let the right wing win when it comes to this story. So here's the flip side of this story that is going underreported and really is the far more horrifying part of this story. These fucking assholes should not be made celebrities in any way.

But another customer claims there’s more to the story, and that the group of teens made racially charged comments before the incident unfolded, KENS 5 reported.

The witness, who asked to remain anonymous, told KENS 5 that the teens in the video joked about “hanging blacks” and killing off minorities before they were targeted.

“They were talking about the Fourth of July hanging black people from trees that that would be the perfect party. Hopefully, with Donald Trump within the next few years, we can celebrate a white country, a real country without blacks. Maybe we can deport them to Africa,” the witness told KENS 5.

“They said they wanted it to be legal for white people to kill any other race for the Fourth of July,” he claimed.

The witness said he led his family out of the eatery after hearing the comments, but was still surprised that the altercation ensued.

So here's what happened next:

MAGA Whataburger video: Vigilante mob justice leads to social media users doxing wrong suspect as threats of intimidation and violence sweep the internet demanding Kino Jimenez’s head.

In a sign of unrelenting fury and anger following the release of the MAGA Whataburger video, members of an internet mob seeking justice against the man seen throwing a drink at a teen at a San Antonio, Texas, fast food joint have been reportedly turning up at the wrong man’s home.

Livid with the apparent transgression against the teen and the boy’s rights to his beliefs, members of the public had taken to releasing what they believed to be Kino Jimenez’s address and phone number in the hope of inciting revenge.

Except the revenge never happened the way they had envisaged following many users on social media sharing what they believed to be Jimenez’s details. Details which in the end only turned out to be the suspect’s brothers, who have since told KSAT that they have been unfairly targeted and that their wanted brother hasn’t lived at their address in over five years.

‘People have been posting his old address and doxing it, but it’s really my address. He doesn’t live here anymore,’ Jimenez’s brother, Zeus, said. ‘He hasn’t lived here for the last five years.’

1. The assault wasn't cool at all and I am not OK with it. But then again, neither is discussing genocide. These fucking Nazi punks should not be made celebrities for that.
2. Doxing isn't OK either. It opens up a whole world of trouble for those that commit it and those that are victims of it.
3. The guy in question followed it up with "the libtard can have it". Fuck you.
4. Seriously though, fuck Nazis and fuck these guys.

people on the Fourth of July. The REAL story here is the Nazis, wearing the MAGA hats, are terrorizing people who are minding their business and going about their days. The guy who threw the drink in their faces was entirely in the right to do so.

And how is it that the guy is being charged with FELONY theft when he only took a cheap-ass $10 hat?

But the kid’s friend is apparently not a rump supporter. He says this guy attacked from nowhere. I think this guy acted like an asshole.

Ya know what I would do if I was a big strong guy like this man, and I heard some shit like that? Go up with my video on my phone, sit down and ask the teenagers what in hell they are thinking. “Hey, just curious, you little men want to lynch my family and me?”

Confront them, but ask questions. Throwing a drink and stealing their hat is wrong. It scares me that people on du think this is ok. We cannot outlaw HATS of our political opponent for god’s sake. Wow, this site scares me more every day.

In NC it wouldn’t have been a felony or anything close.

Here is what I found in the TX statute:
(4)?a state jail felony if:

......

(B)?regardless of value, the property is stolen from the person of another or from a human corpse or grave, including property that is a military grave marker;

So because he grabbed the hat off his head, or “from his person”, it’s an automatic felony in Texas. Had the hat been laying on the table it would be a minor misdemeanor instead.

Interesting law. I wonder what the history on that is.

That this law came about as a way of being tougher on purse snatching. I can't find where I read it as I've read dozens of articles related to this event over the past few days, and I also may be completely wrong about it or read it wrong.

Talking about lynching people is constitutionally protected. Assault and battery is not.

By the way, I am not in any way shape or form saying that what this guy did was OK. I can't believe that in 2018 we have people openly discussing - in public - mass murder and genocide. And then they act like it's funny, like it's some kind of joke. These things are not funny and never will be. And this never happened before Trump. Trump brought all this out in the open and he continues to do so. The holocaust didn't happen overnight, it took years and years to reach that point, and it started off the same way this is starting off.

For the younger DUers:

Little Rock Nine

The Little Rock Nine was a group of nine African American students enrolled in Little Rock Central High School in 1957. Their enrollment was followed by the Little Rock Crisis, in which the students were initially prevented from entering the racially segregated school by Orval Faubus, the Governor of Arkansas. They then attended after the intervention of President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

this and a media trying to make the hateful trump snowflakes victims, we just have to keep fighting the lies and the hate of the NPA aka GOP and trump enabling. Jimenez is not the perp, he is a part of a culture victimized by these Nazi brownshirts. White people by and large don't have minorities in their face shouting about how genocide will take care of their racist hatefulness. Like these punks were doing talking of lynching POC, AA especially. So all not ok with attack, your righ to feel that way.

Sometimes punching a mofo in the face is all they understand. I did it in the army and his friends stayed away or tried to distance themselves from their nword using 'leader'. Saying I don't really feel that way, yada, yada, yada . AND YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did feel better puttng that racist punk down.

Everyone knows the deplorabl's are a protected species soon to be endangered as a species of earthly low life animal. That's all they are, ANIMALS. Hopefully they become extinct soon. Lord know having to deal with this trash for generations gets tiring. But carry on I must.

The witness statement is very detailed and believable... plus no 'normal' kids would be walking around with a MAGA hat.. clearly white nationalist punks in pre-Dylan Roof mode.

And of course a MoC who responds in a very mild fashion gets charged with a felony and has his life destroyed... the KKKops sure had time to get right on the theft of a cheap hat.
