The problems at the VA are the result of sabotage over years and years of underfunding. Bush allowed the agency to flounder at a time when large numbers of new vets needed care. The lap dog MSM seems to ignore the real cause of the deterioration. Civilian care for veterans will be a betrayal of service. The most seriously injured and disabled veterans will just languish without medical care.
Our present health care system cannot adequately take care of the general population. And GOP sabotage of health care nationally will cause the system to collapse. The WANT AND DESIRE a system based on ability to pay. If you cannot afford care and are not well off then you WILL BE ALLOWE TO SUFFER AND DIE. What the fuck do voters NOT GET about the GOP grand plan?
I will NEVER understand aggressive stupidity based on racial hatred. And that fact is the bottom line.

(3,515 posts)privatization of the VA, and
socialists when it comes to helping corporations as in the FOXCONN deal in Wisconsin.
Mount Pleasants Community Development Authority voted Wednesday in favor of declaring some 2,800 acres of mostly open farmland the future site of Foxconns massive electronics factory and surrounding development to be a blighted area.
The action, a recommendation to the Village Board, paves the way for the community potentially to exercise a controversial use of eminent domain power to acquire land from holdout property owners.
That may not be necessary. The great majority of the small landholders who have not yet sold to the village could instead see their property taken by the more conventional use of eminent domain to widen roads, if they dont sell voluntarily.

Typical fascist hypocrisy. The private property of corporations should be protected, but the private property of the "little people"? -- not so much.
