I have no idea how this US vs Canada Women's soccer game is going to end, SPOILERS

but you all must absolutely tune in to watch it.

2:45 PM EST Live?

Be forewarned, even though I didn't add any Spoilers, it doesn't mean that others didn't.

It was a great game to watch, even if you don't like soccer.

While the Canadians are distracted we need to invade and take all their maple syrup. And their moose. I like mooses.

If you like, I think you can write spoiler in the title, then space down to the bottom to post the spoiler. I should have told you to edit it. I'm sorry. I'm new at this too.

The problem with spoilers is when they come in subject lines of OPs, because then all of DU sees them without warning, either on the Latest Page or in the list of titles in the forum. That's the situation that caused a bit of controversy earlier during the first weekend of the Olympics. People were asked (quite reasonably--I was active among the askers) to put a spoiler alert in the subject line of an OP and leave the spoiling information for the body of the post.

However, anyone wanting to avoid spoilers for a specific event probably would want to avoid clicking on a subject about the event while the event is in progress. If one starts a thread about how exciting/unpredictable an event is while it's in progress, I think most people would expect discussion of said event to follow. Just my .02.

...but the US has been here before, repeatedly. Canada hasn't, and it was considered an upset when they beat Britain to get into the semis.

Anyhow, as a Canadian, I'm not complaining.

They said so in an interview - that they didn't even really have a plan after GB.
