I know! Let's have a Parody Presidential Election in 2019!

All of the unlikely people some have proposed to run in 2020 could be on the ballot as presidential candidates for the Parody Election. We could have Avenatti, Oprah, a few late night talk show hosts, and others run against Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell. Since it's a Parody Election, held in a non-presidential election year, it wouldn't count, but people could vote for their favorite celebrity candidate and get it out of their systems.

Then, in 2020, we could have a real, serious election, with real, serious candidates.

How does that sound?

Has anyone nominated Hogg? He is on my short list. Will we need to hold a Constitutional Convention to make it happen or will you allow him as an entrant under your guidelines? Please inform me soon as time is running out.

Those pesky qualifications don't matter in that election. Maybe we can run Putin against Trump, too. Sky's the limit.

Either way, both are absolutely qualified to be the chief executive of the most powerful country on the planet. Are they not high school graduates, after all? Can they not learn statecraft as they go, just like Trump is doing?
