McConnell: "... school shootings are a darn shame, but ..."
Republican Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell, says there's nothing we can do about school shootings. So I guess that American school kids are fucked, terrorized and possibly dead because the United States senate can't do anything about it.
Sigh.
C'mon, Americans.
Is this what we expect from our government?
Is this all we can get from those who rule and hold all the levers of power?
Is this the "new reality" we're stuck with?
Is. This. Fucking. It??
Since the Orange Creature has been occupying the Oval Office, the Republican Party has dropped the facade, pulled back the curtain, and shown us the corruption, hypocrisy, greed, their bullshit version of some "god," and that they really don't give a rat's ass about anything or anyone but themselves.
So here's my question. What are we going to do about it?
Yeah, I know, we're all going to get out and vote next November and hope that our "Blue Wave" can drown out their gerrymandering, "lost" ballots, Russian tampering, and every corrupt voter suppression tactic they can use to crush us.
Seems to me that, at some point, we're going to grasp the fact that our opponents aren't playing by any rules. And they've fucked up America beyond what any of us thought was possible.
So if that "Blue Wave" happens, perhaps we'll have enough control to slow down the juggernaut that's well down the road to destroying democracy.
But what if we can't slow it down? What if that "slippery slope" has become a meaningless meme, and we're now quickly accelerating down a water slide to fascism?
What do we do then?
Well, for now, I guess we'll just have to send our "thoughts and prayers" to victims and their families who Mitch McConnell really doesn't give a shit about.
And let's not forget those poor families that are being terrorized and viciously separated at the border. More human beings that Mitch McConnell and Republicans don't give a shit about.

I rem bet when mike Dukakis was crucified for not being sufficiently outraged when defending his opposition to the death penalty. He made a sober, rational explanation of his views on the matter, but the question mentioned his wife getting hypothetically raped and murdered. Dukakis didn't macho defend her and the press slammed him for it.
Do you think the press will say anything about mcturtle's lack of passion on behalf of victims of school shootings??
