A man matching the photo officials showed was seen by Journal Sentinel reporters at the scene of the temple Sunday, possibly video taping what was going on. Anyone with information on the man is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.

May be nothing but if any of our WI DUers see the person a call to the FBI is in order.
That person is pictured to the right.
FBI Special Agent in Charge Teresa Carlson did not release the name of the man, but said he was a person of interest.
Officials say he came to the scene after the shooting.

(14,180 posts)the now-dead shooter also had a 9-11 memorial tattoo.
Jesus H. Christ, that similarity of tattoos hints at a conspiracy a la Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols (and not some 'lone wolf' incident)
Found the report that dead shooter may have also had a 9-11 tattoo:
"A woman who says she was a neighbor of the suspect tells FoxNews.com that last week she heard yelling coming from the apartment she believes is the same one the FBI is now searching.
The neighbor says, as she understood it, the suspect had lived in the apartment with his girlfriend until their recent break-up. The suspect had then moved into another apartment nearby two weeks ago. She says he had returned to the old apartment and was banging on the door of his old apartment, demanding to be let in. The neighbor also said she believed the suspect had a 9-11 tattoo."

(28,158 posts)To be honest I wondered if they were mistaken and it was a 311 tattoo so favored by the white supremacist types. Now I'm wondering if it was actually a 9-11 tattoo similar to this one, perhaps? I can't make out the detail, but it is a 9-11-01 at the bottom.
All the photos I've seen so far of the shooter only show his left arm tattoos. I wonder what's on his right arm?

(26,219 posts)In a fluid and quickly moving situation, someone may have mistaken this nazi billboard for something 9-11 related (noting that this is only his left arm - I can't find any pics of his right).

(28,158 posts)Honestly, there's no telling. The witnesses had to have all been in shock and such a mistake would have been easy to make.
There's a video further down the page of the second person of interest at the first link. I loaded it on my PC and it's not too much extra help. It shows him turning and walking away, but it doesn't show his left arm enough to be able to tell if he as any other tattoos there.
I know many firemen and police often have memorial tattoos of 9-11. So, the fact that this person has one isn't an indictment of anything nefarious necessarily.
It won't embed but here's a link to the video. http://bcove.me/urtblq90

(26,219 posts)Didn't show his legs either.
Honestly, I think they have this guy in a room by dinner time today. He has a rather distinctive look - someone in that area has to know who he is (unless he panic'd when he saw his pic and ran).

I also missed the link between Page and Stormfront when I first read it this morning. No wonder they were all in a dither yesterday. He really was one of theirs, and not only in ideology.

(36,418 posts)We know the shooter was kicked out of the military 2-3 years before 9/11, so they may not have been in the same unit along the way. But, who knows? That's where I would start looking, aside from Facebook pages.
That is why they called it Facebook, isn't it?

(12,530 posts)The tattoo definitely says 9 -11 - 01 at the bottom. The rest is indistinct to me. I imagine he'll be in custody by the end of the day.

(2,133 posts)Page had no intention of dying at the scene....he exited after firing and was met in the parking lot by a single police officer...who probably got there in time to prevent the pickup man from entering the parking lot.

(2,133 posts)My guess he was dropped off and then the driver, the guy above was to go around block and pick him up...why would Page exit the building if he was on a suicide attack...? He wasn't he intended to ride out. But a squad got the call and was probably just a block or so away..page came out had a shootout with cop just as the guy above was to pick him up...the guy probably saw it go down and kept driving...
Lone_Star_Dem
(28,158 posts)Which could mean nothing considering how much chaos there was in yesterday's reporting.
Going with the assumption this person is involved somehow, it could well be this person was supposed to give him a ride after the attack. Or he could have just been supposed to record the events for a historic record of their crime even.

(13,669 posts)and found it linked to a website which was a forum of white power ....enthusiasts.
What I read there makes me believe that it is very possible that pictures were taken by people who support this kind of mind set. And the the incident will be used by the group to encourage others to become involved.
It was pretty disturbing. I know that these groups exist, but actually seeing the kind of crap that they have on there,..... to say it is depressing, would be putting it mildly.
I hope this photo yields more information about what happened.

(13,669 posts)reading that kind of shit really disturbs me in a major way. The only thing I can think to compare it to would be a pedophile forum.
It disgusts and angers me and makes the world seem hopless.
It's troubling to 'see' so many people with such twisted minds.... and to see them cheering each other on, and writing the kind of crap they do.....
not a place I can go, and feel ok with.
I know ignorance isn't bliss, but sometimes knowledge can be too distressing. It rattled me more than I expected.

(26,219 posts)The man was observed taking video of family members gathered in a parking lot near the temple on Sunday, within an hour of the shooting. He was dressed in black, had a 9-11-01 tattoo, and did not interact with anyone at the scene.
