Dear @realDonaldTrump: The "dumbest" law you refer to is called the United States Constitution. Specifically the 14th Amendment which provides due process to all persons, not just citizens.
You took an oath to the Constitution at your relatively small inauguration, remember?
Donald J. Trump:
When people come into our Country illegally, we must IMMEDIATELY escort them back out without going through years of legal maneuvering. Our laws are the dumbest anywhere in the world. Republicans want Strong Borders and no Crime. Dems want Open Borders and are weak on Crime!

(15,646 posts)putting him on the defensive rather than him us. Ted Lieu is right, but his tweet has no impact on anyone who isnt already on our side.
We should be tweeting Trump and Republicans want him to be King not President. Democrats want to protect our freedom. Democrats want to follow our founding fathers, the Constitution.

(5,255 posts)These Socal Dems who know they can say anything - and do - are wonderful. Interestingly, I have not seen much from Adam Schiff lately. I wonder if he's busy with some serious stuff about to come down the pike.

(5,255 posts)I hadn't seen him in while; thanks. But that was probably in part just me missing him. And I like the thought that he's at work on something serious BTS.

(15,751 posts)a lot of issues would be instantly impacted:
- criminal suspect trump would be demanding 'due process', while even more conspicuously denying due process to children in a brutal way.
- all this Roe v Wade SCOTUS furor would be changed by criminal suspect trump appointing his own judge. The 'conflict of interests' would be so visible to even evangelicals, and more importantly republicon Senate voters for trump nominee - with a very conspicuous criminal liability [from conspiracy statutes] for those Senators. [Maybe why trump in such a frenetic rush to get Kennedy to resign now, to appoint a trump nominee, and get a senate vote and get the trump voter on the court asap]
Just saying.

(1,076 posts)He is good and has family back story. Noted a comment regarding Rep Schiff. He is probably out there with Senator Warner working on the serious stuff.
With, what I perceive to be serious stuff/strategy/findings, some of our elected representatives may be minimizing their public appearances in their official capacity. Lord knows, they're doing what is right for national security of the citizens.
But, Rep Schiff is also campaigning.

(58,656 posts)Like that makes any difference to him. He's never kept a promise or honored a contract in his pathetic life.
Well, come to think of it, he seems to be keeping most of the promises he made to Putin.
