World Cup - France v Argentina -spoiler

11 min: This is spectacular from Kylian Mbappe! Argentina lose the ball near France’s area, Banega and Tagliafico getting themselves in a muddle. Mbappe picks up the loose ball and embarks on a power surge. He’s so fast! There’s no catching him! Argentina’s snails are left trailing in his wake and the danger’s clear as he approaches the area. He tears to the right, away from Rojo, who desperately brings him down! Penalty! No doubt about it! That was the teenager’s Michael Owen moment!

He's 19

1-0

Another free kick Mbappe is too fast for them.

Go France!

They could be known for their skill, but no.

Excluding Messi of course. He’s the prince in that swamp.

Mbappe is the first teenager to score 2x in the World Cup since 17 yo Pele in 1958.

Wow! What a shame I didn't care who won this one

The better team won. Some fabulous goals.
That said-there are too many divisions in the Argentinian camp.

I was rooting for Messi, but he choked once again. Sad for the fans, but the better team won.

But of the favorites France is my Team.

My Grandmothers first language was French until the State of Louisiana oppressed the language.

Been to France 3 times in the last 5 years. Would love to be there today!

I was hoping France will pull this out. I'll be arriving there next week for the start of the Tour, and it's a continuous party when France is doing well in the World Cup at the same time the Tour is on.

It’s kind of messed up since they put the alps before the Pyrenees this year. But we’ll be along the route of the first several in Brittany, but instead of going up to Roubaix, we’re going to go up the Loire and then over to the Albertville area in general.

We have a hut at a campground directly on the climb of the Col de Croix de Fer, so that will be a fun one.

Basically, it’s an organizing principle for a series of roadside picnics.

I used to follow the Tour real close, not much at all for a while. Have fun, should be amazing to be there with the Tour going on.

Then again, the wife and I travel for food and wine. Maybe I need to expand my horizons!

Have a great time and represent us well.

I am sure you will.
