Colonel implies military may support Trump in an insurrection by his followers (VIDEO)

In a week that was very difficult for Progressives as they saw the emergence of a Supreme Court intent on taking America back to its dark ages, Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson opened another shocking worry about our military and its loyalty to Trump. It is clear that electing Trump destabilizing all around.

Trump's followers. Honestly, I don't trust all of the military, my guess is that most would back Trump if he voided the Constitution, some would quit and join the resistance, but that would be a minority.

Unlikely as trump is to get majority popular support. Seems that an incredible amount of circumstantial evidence support trump 'fondness' for 'insurrection' etc.: his love of Putin, dictators, anti democracy everything, etc. etc.

[Note the key phrase in the link by the Colonel was, 'I don't know' if the military would support, - I'm not sure of further interpretations].

as a current active duty Army officer of similar rank (LTC v COL) no, our military is not going to support an insurrection.

Yes, most of the Officer corps is conservative (I'd say 85-15), and probably 60-40 of the enlisted.

But they take the whole Constitution thing pretty darn seriously. They support him, they would vote for him, but they ain't burning the Constitution for him as far as keeping him on past 8 years or doing an insurrection.

But you see things from a more important vantage point, and if you say concerns like mine are bullshit, I will go with that conclusion for the time being.

I'd retire now (granted I'm planning on retiring soon anyways, but not because of this fear).

Based on how legal they might be...

Trump’s problem is this: a large number of the military are POC., suspect that they hate him.

Just because some of the officers might choose to support a White Supremist - it will be a hard sell to get the majority of the enlisted to support the klan. And if they did, then the second Civil War will have started.
