Russian TV boasts about electing Trump ahead of summit with Putin

Russian TV boasts about electing Trump ahead of summit with Putin
'What trouble did we cause? We just elected Trump, that's all,' a Russian news presenter said
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-russia-election-putin-summit-president-tv-john-bolton-hacking-cyber-security-a8423791.html

Russia 24, a government-funded network covering domestic and international news, criticised the issue of cyber security being included in Mr Putin’s planned discussions with American officials. In the same segment, Russian news analysts also derided CNN and one of its shows, The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, for its coverage of the election hacking.

"Cyber security is a topic for this summit because what are the main accusations that we hear in the past years from the American side?" A Russia 24 analyst said. ”That our great and terrible Russian hackers invaded the American space."

US and Russia agree to hold Trump-Putin summit in 'third country'
The analyst went on to say Americans viewed the alleged hacking as “aggression against the country” and believed the Russian government “caused some trouble there.”

“What trouble did we cause?” he asked. “We just elected Trump, that’s all.”

Putting their man in the White House is something the Soviets were never able to.

It was an impressive piece of intelligence work. Even if Trump helped. But he may not have helped. He would have screwed it up.

and he asked for their help.

But it's a little bit like having a 4-year old and wallpapering the bathroom. It's better if he knows what's going on, but you'll end up with a better outcome if he doesn't help.
