A lot of things like her Stein vote and telling bros to vote that way as well. Yet that is not it.
She stood inches away from Dolores Huerta's face and screamed at her for not supporting HER CANDIDATE IF CHOICE!
Dolores Huerta Biography
Activist, Children's Activist, Civil Rights Activist (1930)
Who Is Dolores Huerta?
Dolores Huerta has worked to improve social and economic conditions for farm workers and to fight discrimination. To further her cause, she created the Agricultural Workers Association (AWA) in 1960 and co-founded what would become the United Farm Workers (UFW). Huerta stepped down from the UFW in 1999, but she continues her efforts to improve the lives of workers, immigrants and women.

Despite her achievements, Dolores experienced the racism many Mexicans and Mexican Americans suffered from, especially those who were farm workers. At school she was sometimes treated with suspicion and scorn. She was once accused by a teacher of stealing another students work because the teacher was convinced that Dolores was incapable of doing it own her own, due to her ethnic origin.
After graduating from Stockton High School, in 1947, Dolores Fernandez went through a marriage, the birth to two children and a divorce. After a series of unsatisfying jobs, she returned to school and eventually completed a teaching degree at Stockton College, part of the University of the Pacific. She briefly worked as an elementary school teacher, but resigned because she was so distraught over the poor living conditions of her students, many of them children of farm workers.
Determined to help, in 1955, she and Fred Ross started the Stockton chapter of the Community Services Organization (CSO), a grassroots group that worked to end segregation, discrimination and police brutality and improve social and economic conditions of farm workers. During this time, Dolores married Ventura Huerta, another labor activist. The couple would go on to have five children.
A Life of Activism
In 1960, Dolores Huerta started the Agricultural Workers Association (AWA). She set up voter registration drives and lobbied politicians to allow nonU.S. citizen migrant workers to receive public assistance and pensions and provide Spanish-language voting ballots and driver's tests. During this time, Dolores met Cesar Chavez, a fellow CSO official, who had become its director.

You have to ask yourself what susie ever did other that shooting her mouth off at an icon and dazzling us on the red carpet in Hollywood. Dolores did more in a day than sue did in her lifetime. It was a turning point for me when I saw sue in your face rip into a civil rights heroine. Sue used her white privilege to hammer an 88 year old woman of color to bend to her, Dolores never wavered. Fuck you sue.

Sarandon's philanthropy reflects this, and the Susan Sarandon Charitable Foundation gives to quite a few outfits that work in areas such as women's rights, civil liberties, anti-poverty and more. The foundation isn't moving an overwhelming amount of money out of the door, however, with around $200,000 in grantmaking annually of late. In addition, the foundation doesn't have much of a web presence, and there's no clear way to get in touch with Sarandon or her children, who serve as vice presidents of the foundation. Still, this is another progressive philanthropist associated with the entertainment industry who is worth keeping an eye on. Here are a few must-knows:

(27,813 posts)It was horrible and Bernie should have called her off immediately (he should have stopped his people from harassing Barbara Boxer too, but that's a different issue -same caucus though).
I see it as the same issue. Women were harassed and the leader of the pack did nothing, He never cared.

I'm sure the Bros were real proud of themselves for bullying little old ladies -- but I had no idea Sarandon participated in that outrage.

Gracias, she I'll never forgive or forget any of her LIES. She'll do it again in 2020.
Sue has her damn finger in Dolores's face. I hated her for that and so much more. She is evil, Cha.

(49,389 posts)IMO, if Susan's credibility is reduced to ZERO between now and 2020, she will have minimal influence on that election, or any future elections.
That said, Sarandon won't be slipping under the radar here at Democratic Underground.

(15,369 posts)like it that received no reproof are among the reasons why I will NEVER support the Presidential candidacy of a certain non-Democrat.
Unless that is absolutely the ONLY alternative to a GOPer. ONLY then.
But I still believe that the majority of Democrats are more intelligent than to leave us with that as the only option, especially when we have so many others who are truly Democrats and who are good options.

(16,903 posts)We need to swiftly change away from moping and rehashing. Our President is telling the troops to DO A LOT MORE if we are to overcome this mess we are in.
For me, personally, this 71 year old will be taking to the streets when necessary, volunteering wherever I can, and yes, eating cold pizza in a church basement. ANYTHING that help turn this mess around.
Fuck Susan Sarandon.
Me.

(3,016 posts)She's a wealthy white woman beyond child bearing age. She had literally nothing to lose by Trump being elected. However she led people who did have much to lose to follow her to insanity.
