5. Gavin Newsom is extremely popular

he was also VERY popular as a mayor of SF and is considered one of the best mayors in its history. It is going to be a landslide election. Gavin is bold, courageous and never compromises on values, very outspoken and cannot be bullied. He conducted the first same sex marriages in the US in 2004 because he said it he was simply fulfilling US Constitution - he was 100% right, same sex couples always had this right under the constituion, it just took a while to recognize but he doesnt compramise. One of the strongest democrats in the country, very similar to Kamala Harris in his conduct. They are very close from working in SF together.
Imagine a dream presidential ticket Harris/Newson? They are both aspiring. Newsom is gonna be very vocal governor, he will be the household name in the entire country within moths. He is very media savvy. He is my favorite politician but I’m SF biased of course. California is about to make a sharp step forward to some very progressive politics away from moderate Brown. If the 2018 turnout is to be historic, supermajorities in state legislature is likely so there will no stopping us.
