Poor Joe Scab. Ratner is destroying his election predictions.

Steve Ratner came armed with lots of charts and graphs demonstrating that things like unemployment rate and GDP are simply not accurate predictors of a Presidential election outcome. It makes Joe sad, because Joe is sure all the economic indicators mean Obama will lose. But the data doesnt back him up.

Another interesting point Ratner made which twisted Joe's panties: average job growth has remained fairly steady and not too bad, at about 160,000, and unemployment did NOT really just go up. The rise to 8.3% amounts to essentially a rounding change; from 8.24% to 8.27%, so they were rounded up, but effectively only a very slight difference.

Poor Joe.

157,000 jobs per month is better than any Republican President has done in their first term since Ike....Also more jobs were created under Clinton than under Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush* Combined
