Booker: The subject of an investigation should not pick his judges

@SethAbramson:
YES! Booker has adopted the legal argument I and other attorneys have put forward as to why the Senate cannot permit—without its own legal liability—the subject of an Obstruction investigation to interview the judges that will ultimately hear his case. It's legally impermissible.

@KeithBoykin:
Senator Cory Booker: "The president of the United States is a subject of an ongoing criminal investigation...that could end up before the Supreme Court," so any Trump SCOTUS nomination should be "delayed until the Mueller investigation is concluded."

He is speaking on MSNBC right now. He is urging people to speak up. Ari Melber wasn't able to get the exact strategies and tactics out of him on national TV. I am glad the Dems do have strategies and are going to fight this.

Every American can not be silent! This is crucial and we must RESIST! Activists and organizers need to have the town halls, calls to our reps, protests, etc. Call the Senate (202) 224-3121. Spread the word!

Since his appointment was by the person whole instituted it. I expect any of the Republi-- er, conservative Justices will follow Clarence Thomas' lead and not recuse themselves even from cases where they have blatant conflicts of interest.

Don't tie it to Mueller specifically because somebody else would pick it up, maybe even a Democratic House.

And "orderly way" would preclude firing Mueller as a way to end it.

absolutely mind blowing that the subject of multiple criminal investigations can pick the Judges who will decide elements related to that investigation.

It should be illegal for Republicans to confirm a new Justice under these circumstances.

There are probably Senators and Representatives who are also subject to the investigation that perhaps we don't know about. I've heard that lots of Republican Congressmen got some of that NRA money that was paid for out of Russian donations. I would be surprise to find out that McConnell, Ryan, Nunes and many others get caught up in this investigation. I'm not surprised that they are calling for an end, hoping they will quit looking before they get to them.

if you can pull this off, you may get my vote in the 2020 Democratic primaries - I've never committed early to a candidate, but this would do it for me.
