This one. True, we are fighting beyond ourselves...dayum. Many off us won't be around to see the world right itself. We hopefully will see some change in 2018 and 2020. However the court will take a generation to change. I won't be here for that and it pains my heart to see our children pay the price. All I wished for is to leave them in a better place.
So now, we are fighting beyond ourselves.

(83,929 posts)It is never about ourselves. Yet now, our only hope is to change the future for the children. Some of us just don't have that much time left to change the decades of damage this admin has wrought.
Thanks, brer.

(63,221 posts)Just when I think I am all out of hope and the fight has gone out of me, words like this give me the shot of hope and the inspiration that I so badly need. That we all do. This fight is bigger than each of us individually and we each have our small part to do to resist this nightmare, whether we see immediate payoff or not. There is power in numbers and fighting tirelessly for a common ideal.

(83,929 posts)I felt numb. Then I saw all those women this afternoon protesting the children in the camps. They were loud and beautiful. Chanting, hands raised and yes, getting arrested.
Power in numbers
We are not stopping and it is clear that we are fighting beyond ourselves now.

(83,929 posts)No he
He does not want a recognition of himself. He wants the recognition of centuries of abuse of black bodies through out history.
