"You know, some people feel that Donald Trump will bring the revolution immediately. If he gets in, then things will really explode."

She followed that up with this:

"If you think that it's pragmatic to shore up the status quo right now, then you're not in touch with the status quo"

She then went on to endorse a candidate who couldn't even pull two million votes in a national election.

Sarandon one hundred percent pushed for Trumps policies.

Who has consistently said and done things that make her look like a clown. She’s also wrong- a lot. Backed Edwards in 2004 and in 2008. Her involvement in all phases of 2016 speaks for itself. She’s a cartoon character spewing twaddle. And a has been.

So, the problem here isn’t really that other people have issues with Susie, it’s that you, after all that has transpired, do not.

What a fool
"From the start, Donald Trump has built his campaign on prejudice and paranoia. He is taking hate groups mainstream and helping a radical fringe take over the Republican party. His disregard for the values that make our country great is profoundly dangerous.

It’s a disturbing preview of what kind of President he’d be.
And that’s what I want to make clear today: A man with a long history of racial discrimination, who traffics in dark conspiracy theories drawn from the pages of supermarket tabloids and the far, dark reaches of the internet, should never run our government or command our military. Ask yourself, if he doesn’t respect all Americans, how can he serve all Americans?
Now, I know that some people still want to give Trump the benefit of the doubt. They hope that he will eventually reinvent himself – that there’s a kinder, gentler, more responsible Donald Trump waiting in the wings somewhere.
Because after all, it’s hard to believe anyone – let alone a nominee for president – could really believe all the things he says.
But here’s the hard truth, there is no other Donald Trump. This is it."

An apology would be nice and an acknowledgment of her mistake, but we didn't get one from Comey and I doubt we will get one from her either. Nevertheless, we need EVERYONE to be out fighting and protesting this administration. Even ones who might share some responsibility for the current situation.

Especially the ones that share some responsibility for the installation of this fascist regime.

protesting the DOJ? Do we need more bodies, or less bodies doing that work?

You can have legitimate disagreements with her politics and you can think she's been quite wrong, though I would assume, not really in the case of protesting the DOJ. I'm not sure why the next step is that we have to assume those who are wrong(though presumably fighting from their convictions) are bad people. Its true, they might be, if there is such a thing exactly. They may be operating cynically, with some other motivation than what they say, but just deciding Sarandon isn't sincere, and that she's just a hater who wants to make her mark by sabotaging democratic politicians is doing a whole lot of reading into the situation based on feelings...based on wanting to find fault with her character so that you can have righteous fury about it.

She never advocated putting children in cages. Nor do I think people saw the potential for Trump, who still seems like an albatross for the Republican party, to be so backed in lock-step by it...although that did fray in this case.
