back to Tel-Star when I was 5 in 1959.

And I still feel like I'm 8 years old when they kick ass!

I was in elementary school in the early '60s, knew all the astronauts' names and they'd bring TVs into the classroom so we could watch the launches live! This sure brings me back, too, when we were so excited. We really need more of this in the country, sure brings us together, and I felt that again tonight when I was watching this with friends from DU...

for landing Curiosity on Mars safely.

You know, all those NASA workers and all the JPL workers in gov't jobs that really don't help the economy. And all the workers at the many firms I'm sure were employed through contracts with the gov't that didn't really contribute to the economy either. No, the gov't doesn't create jobs that fuel the economy does it?


Yep, GOP, how do you praise and bask in the exceptionalism of the USA in the successful Mars landing without admitting Gov't organizations, programs and contractors made it happen? That ought to be a fancy two-step.
