Kavanaugh is really conservative, on Trump's list, and a former Kennedy clerk. He's also only 53. Has enough experience that he would be hard to challenge on direct qualifications.

Barrett was a Trump pick for her current appointment, very conservative, very religious, former Scalia clerk, and only 45. Would be easier challenge on qualifications as she is less experienced but her gender might help deflect Roe v Wade lines of questioning.
