Just a friendly reminder: Remember that if something is out of your control, don't let it drain you.

.

We are being bombarded by a spate of bad new lately, ever since the Republicans abdicated power to Russia.

While we can be angry at things, channel that into action. Being angry alone just makes people ill and drained.

If something is out of your control, switch to something that you can effect at change to.

Harboring on issues that are outside of one's control wastes vital health energies.

We need to remain healthy, in order to fight on. A house with sick parents can not provide care to the young.
Parents must keep themselves healthy for the well-being of the household. We must do the same for democracy.

If things get too rough, step away for a bit. Unplug, recharge the body and mind, so you can fight with strength.

I might be stepping back for a bit, because F-U-C-K-!

No way will I succumb to the gloom and despair of every post advancing a bleak and dystopian tomorrow.

Clarity of both analysis and goal is vital at this point. The first act of the battle of Midway would have buckled the wills of far too many posters who are far too willing to immediately lay down and show their bellies.

That said, I'm pretty sure my weekend news-blackouts will increase to include Fridays (and maybe Mondays) as well. At least until late October.

No telling where this goes, maybe violence and war before it's all done. I try to remember, the climate upheavals will overpower everything in our little political sandbox, and have been doing so for awhile. So enjoy, be kind to fellow beings, humans and otherwise, stay aware, try not to get bummed out. If you have kids, it might be time to look for greener pastures.
