Looks like Jill Stein & co are going to make a long-lasting mark on SCOTUS.

"Give me one good reason to vote Dem and don't say 'Supreme Court'"
"I'm so sick of hearing about the Supreme Court"

And now, thanks to idiotic sentiments like those, we are looking at a decade or more of far-right-wing decisions.

Everything is now on the table.

And I don't just mean marriage equality and Roe v. Wade. The loss of those will be devastating.

But that's not all. Think about things like indefinite detention, and expanding the definition of "enemy combatant". Think about torture. Think about the further expansion of executive powers generally.

I'd say we will be set back for a generation, but the truth is America as a liberal democracy will likely cease to exist long before then.
