Democrat Jason Crow to challenge Coffman in Colorado's 6th

AURORA — Jason Crow claimed the Democratic nomination in Colorado’s 6th Congressional District on Tuesday evening, besting his opponent Levi Tillemann by a margin of more than 2 to 1.

The Associated Press called the race shortly before 8 p.m., as the former Army Ranger held a 68 percent to 32 percent margin over Tillemann. Around 8:30 p.m., the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office showed Crow with nearly 40,000 votes to Tillemann’s 19,000-plus.

Crow, 39, will face off against U.S. Rep. Mike Coffman, a Republican who has held the congressional seat centered on Aurora for close to a decade, in November’s general election. The contest pits two military veterans against each other — Coffman is a former Marine and combat veteran.

I think it's time I should start sneaking the subject of voting into my classes. Just voting, not whom to vote for.

Buckley is probably chock full of repukes. I guess I'm just more familiar with central Aurora.

Even though they are one population that's getting hit hard, don't know if they connect the dots.
