About Harley Davidson...

I've looked but haven't found this thought posted anywhere else here.

Trump is a self-admitted tax evader. It came up in one of his debates with Hillary. He said we need better laws to stop it/him and I think it was the beginning of his "Only I can fix it" line.

So, why didn't the tax evader in chief see Harley Davidson's idea to move production offshore to avoid the tariffs coming from a mile away?

I think Harley's move was probably a forgone conclusion - I get the idea they want to make modern bikes for a world market - and less the big noisy bikes of legend.

He knew Harley would leave on his watch.

Look at the video of Trump and Harley execs - I know Trump always sounds the same - but I think he's basically saying to them..."Look at all those bikers who voted for ME - would be shame if to see them turn against you" - paraphrasing of course.

Anyone with the slightest understanding would know that US manufacturers and consumers would be hurt by tariffs. The frightening bit is that Trump is not interested in learning or accepting advice.
