Military members respond to Trump's plan to create a "kiddy Gitmo". Excellent article.

A former guard at the Guantanamo Bay detention facility, retired Army specialist Brandon Neely, told The Daily Beast that sending undocumented children and families for on-base detention was “like Gitmo.”

“It’s like [Trump] uses the military for whatever he wants. It’s not the military’s job to house immigrants in detention facilities.”

are the kiddie care providers supposed to get on base? They will be in lock down just as much as the kids. You can't have adults wondering around base. The points about infrastructure is extremely important. How are they supposed to add bathroom facilities and a kitchen. It's just an incredibly stupid idea all the way around.

You've got large groups of people from different countries stressed out by just the journey, then further by the abuse by ICE, reports say they don't get good care at all, all it takes is for one case of measles.
So hopefully docs will be near.

The military gobbles up an enormous part of our annual budget. We have to use the military for defense and everything else, because it's the only sector of government with adequate funding.

Instead of warehousing undocumented children and families, I really believe that a much better use of our money and infrastructure would be using these facilities to create housing for homeless veterans.

Why would he send those *dangerous gang members* to reside withing our military bases? Wouldn't they steal our secrets?

Can't have it both ways, Spanky.
