So according to the msm in this country, the little rw wimp Cruz has already

been elected as Texas' next repug senator. They never mention the Democratic nominee's name; even on the nonfaux stations; major news media or local papers. Do any of you know who the Texas Democratic candidate is, what he represents, where one can donate to him and why he might actually have a chance to overcome the repug's throwback to the 50's? We seem to not ever get any help to make the changes that might happen with just a modicum of enthusiasm and help from our fellow Democrats.
BTW, here is our Democratic candidate's website: http://sadlerforsenate.com/.

Perfectly understandable here in this crazy rw small town, but then I listen to xm left and they mention cruz (a little creepy wimp who went to private school with my daughter in Houston) and act as though our Dem candidate is not even on board as a possibility. future. It means that we are stuck and should accept out fate and just not try to ever change or grow or try to make any changes. If women, native Americans, African Americans, gay people, etc. had heeded your advice, I shuttered to think where our country would be. I hope you have a great time pigeon holing huge groups of people. 3,521,164 Texan voted for our president in '08. In about 3/4 of the states that would have be a majority for the electoriatal college to give a state majority.

And it isn't prejudice against your state, my state is filled with the same kind of assholes. 2010 was a disaster for PA. Teabaggers across the board. They are devastating the place.

The path to victory is clear for Cruz. All he has to do is be a chickenshit teabagger and no one that matters will call him out. Sadler's going be bald by the end of this by pulling out all his hair in frustration of simply being ignored by the Cruz campaign (and the media as well.)

I used to think the media always wanted a close race, it being good for ratings and circulation. Not here in Texas though. Maybe I'll take that back. Maybe Texans are just too stupid to pay attention and look beyond that (R) after Cruz's name.

Here's hoping Sadler and his supporters, me included, can kick every Texan in the pants this year.

Pandering is not being done just by the politicians, I have been increasingly frustrated by the so called liberal Media and the fact that they seem to be sound biting off of the conservative talking heads at least on there reporting they dont pretend when I watch M.S.N.B.C the majority of reporting expresses the right wing agenda not all of it but alot of it ,The conservative pundits, the the conservative shows ,using the conservative talking points to lead into story's. I dint know where to get the truth it perplexes me. and lastly when commentators are asked to come on and debate an issue ,For the most part in the beginning you can sense there compassion into seeking out and being honest about the real story and soon as they get a contract there whole tune changes its pathetic I pray the voter isn't still making there minds up and looking to the Media to make there minds up thats all I'm saying.

Which has a lot to do with why nothing in Texas is going to be changing anytime soon. Our Democrats are out spent and generally unpopular on a state-wide level. Both with the media and around 60% of the voters.

The only chance we really have is in district (the few that weren't gerrymandered) and local races in our blue cities and counties. Beyond that, they've been written off before they get out of the shoot.

Sun Aug 5, 2012, 10:19 PM
Aug 2012

Cruz won by rallying the Teabaggers in our major cities and some of our blue counties. Our really rural, traditionally Republican strongholds went for Dewhurst.

I found this significant in that it showed how their money was spent. They focused on brining in just a certain percentage more voters in our urban areas, and they won.

We have a large, untapped Democratic leaning population in these areas. Most of them just don't feel as if their vote matters. Or they've been led to believe they aren't eligible to vote. We need to educate them. We need to get them motivated. If we could get the money, the media would follow. Sadly, no one is standing in line to give money to a Texas Democrat in the amounts which would make that type of difference.

Which brings us back to our present situation. Beaten before the elections. It's so frustrating!

In addition to his duties as Chairman of Public Education, Sadler was named Chairman of the Select Committee on Teacher Health Insurance during the 77th Legislative Session. Chairman Sadler’s youngest son was critically injured in an automobile accident in February of that session; his remarkable recovery allowed Chairman Sadler to conclude his work on Public School Employee Health Insurance. However, after passage of the Health Insurance plan, Sadler announced his decision to retire to be with his son, who underwent almost two years of therapy before his recovery was complete.
