This is Trumps latest tweet. He's been playing around with this dog whistle trick for a while (see yesterday's tweets). This is the first time he's used it explicitly. Bossie, you might have noticed, pulled the same trick in the same way. Rhetorical tactics they use to disguise what they are really saying so only the hounds will get it.

This is one of the oldest tropes used by race haters for years. It goes back at least to Nixon and Bush. Find a crime. Find a mean-looking photo of a black guy. And let the reader add up one and one. Drudge and FOX (Ailes was the master) use it constantly but can never be called out on it because they can always claim they're just reporting the news. "What me racist? It's only a figure of speech."
