Trump's Trade War Backfires And Sends His Supporters Toward Bankruptcy

https://www.politicususa.com/2018/06/24/trumps-trade-war-supporters-bankruptcy.html

"SNIP........

Chuck Todd said on Meet The Press:

The escalating trade war President Trump has started between the United States and, well, everybody, hasn’t had a direct impact on the lives of most Americans yet. But the one place where people are starting to already feel the pain, the agricultural Midwest. Farmers who grow crops like wheat and corn or who produce pork. And guess what? They’re getting hit hard. And when the U.S. hit China with tariffs, China knew exactly where to hit back. For instance, soybeans.

China is the number-one soybean importer in the world. And they announced retaliatory tariffs on U.S. soybeans in April. Previously China got 40% of its soy from the United States. In 2017, 57% of all U.S. soybean exports went to China.

So what’s happened? Soybean prices have already fallen 15% since China announced the tariff, more than a two-year low. And in Iowa, for example, the Des Moines Register estimates the new tariffs could cost soybean farmers in the state $624 million. And the political consequences could be significant for the president’s party, especially going into the midterms this November.

These are the top ten soy producing states in the United States. Eight of them voted for Donald Trump in 2016. And guess what? He came really close in one more, Minnesota. And within those states, a whopping 95% of the soy-producing counties voted for Donald Trump. In other words, the repercussions of President Trump’s trade policies are hurting the very people who supported him the most.

And they will lease the resources back to the farmers once Trump "solves" the crises he has created. Most of the profit will have been skimmed off by the corporations. Consolidation of wealth and resources to the top has been the plan all along. These farmers were warned.

As someone who has had many a year of contact with Rural Areas in the Mid West, yes Agri-Business Giants have been keeping tons of money available to snap up quality Farm land in a moments notice. Here is a trend I am aware of,a operator suddenly is Cash Strapped do to some on foreseen event, well, one of these Giants will buy part of or all of the Operators operation and hire him back as a Manager for Wages and a Bonus based on net Cash operations Sales and Value.

Let's realize first, the average age of today's so called Farmers is at or above 57. And you can see what is ahead and don't thing for a minute Con-Agra,Monsanto,Titan Finance or John Deere is licking their collective chops as to where they are going to put their money.

Oh BTW,most of the Labor for these mega operations comes from South of the Border. When you are running a mixed Farming operation, you might be employing up to 400 workers. Am using that number as a reference to a fellow we know to be doing this size of a Operation. Have to say,I know he has one of those Giants holding a ton of his Paper.

Do you think you're revealing some dark secret that millions of Americans don't already know, chucktodd? We've been watching the hapless antics of the Trump administration since this buffoon was sworn in, and we've seen how ruinous his policies have been for his most fervent supporters.

You get paid a lot of money to be so clueless, chucktodd.

There's only one possible killer winner and that's him. Leaving everyone else to be dead losers.

But the bottom line, is, if these idiots never face the pain of their irresponsible choices they will never change. They don't care what happens to others, only themselves. So if that's what it takes to stop them from hurting others, then suck it up snowflakes. Just remember we didn't want this to happen and if you had listened to us, it wouldn't be.

his supporters will support him as long as he continue white supremacy agenda; it is the only thing that matters to them even though many won’t admit it. Looks at the bible belt states - Alabama, Missisippi, Arkansas, etc. - voting is never about economy for those.
