And how the hell wasn't that a penalty when Boateng pushed Berg into Neuer earlier? Exactly the situation that VAR is supposed to correct and not a peep from them. That could even have been a red card!

FIFA would hate to have Germany go out (and they will with a loss), especially with Argentina and Brazil looking shaky, but they couldn't, could they?

We all know Germany always pull it out in the end, but this time I'm in serious doubt.

At the 12 minute mark. That player got clocked from behind.

I only saw the replay once, but I think they didn't give it to him because he wasn't about to strike the ball.

Mexico and Sweden need only draw for both to go through. Mexico would win the group, and Sweden would be second and Germany would be out. I'd say that would be extremely likely to happen.

I'd rather see a winner today.

You haven't beaten the Germans until their team bus leaves the stadium, remember? Bloody hell.

Well, this will make the final group games more exciting at least, as the 6-6-6 scenario is still on.

Mexico have had automatic qualification taken away from them at the last minute as well.

What a finish.
Meanwhile I saw a cartoon with the English team bus sat in the temporary parking space at Heathrow airports. English folks don't have too much hope for their side.

I think Sweden will beat Mexico too. Sweden got past Holland in the qualifiers, and beat Italy in the play off. I have a funny feeling they're going to do it.

But they'll have to beat Mexico who only have the smallest possible goal difference after 2 victories (+2).

It's possible that that late Korean goal could eliminate them. Germany are level on goal difference and will probably put quite a few past the Koreans.

I just made a new German friend, so relatively happy for him. My son-in-law is Brazillian, so that's who I'm rooting for to win the whole thing.
