Melania's trip to Texas is another Trump flop.
The sanitized room with the cute little sign saying Acts of Kindness, the fawning detention center staff, insipid conversation claiming that the children were happy, have all their needs taken care of, and that in 45 days or so they might see their parents. It was a photo op that was so staged it seemed like it was orchestrated by a propaganda master. They weren't fooling anyone, well except for the people who watch Fox news.
And now these photographs of Melania wearing the most inappropriate jacket available for sale in the entire country. It would have been more appropriate if she boarded the plane in her underwear.
And this is the reason it went sideways: The Trumps really don't care all that much, if at all. And that is something they can't hide.
