The picture should be the other way around since it is the Republican President who is using children and families as weapons. Did he not on multiple occasions admit that he was using young people and their families as leverage to get the deal he wanted? Did members of the Trump Administration, including maybe even Trump, admit that they wanted to separate families at the border as a way to try to prevent people from crossing the border? From what I can see it is only the Trump Administration that is using children and their families as weapons.
