On MSNBC: Mika making it clear that Ivanka is full of crap.

Mika said she has pretty much given up on Ivanka and just angrily called her out on her silence during this crisis. Others saying how after the fact there are always White House sources telling people in the media things like "Oh, Ivanka was talking behind the scenes..." They said that no one believes this anymore.

Mika talking about her exchanges yesterday via text and making it very clear that Ivanka is not to be taken seriously. Ivanka always claims having tried to influence her father after the fact, hides behind "I'm a daughter" when she is criticized, and has done little to nothing when it comes to fulfilling her self proclaimed role as fighting for women and children.

Ivanka always claims to be working behind the scenes, but everyone knows its a joke. Ivanka does not know how to step up. Mika and the panel discussing how she needs to get on a plane and go down to Texas and help start the process of getting these kids back to their parents.

Every time there is one of these horrible events, like the
"some good people" in Charlottesville, Ivanka's behavior proves one thing: She is a Trump first and no matter what is going on it is always going to be about protecting her father and the family brand. Ivanka is a fraud, just like everyone else named Trump.

media helped to create this situation and presidency with your 24/7 breathless coverage of every tweet, every outlandish comment and every bit of crap that came out of his mouth.

I have no use for MSNBC, CNN nor the rest of Cable News Infotainment.

but the coverage of trump's family separation atrocity has been beneficial. I watch this morning while Joe and Mika had their hand holding spectacle and it was nauseating. Joe and Mika were as complicit as anyone in trump's election. During election, softball interviews with trump boosted ratings. A contested election boosted ratings. So hammer Hillary's emails and coddle trump ... better ratings, more money. But without the infotainment, trump could have gotten by with atrocities against families. Always with MSM, follow the money to know their motives.

I find them nothing more than Infotainment as stated, Yes, occasionally they brush up against something that resembles journalism, but from what I can see it's nothing more than "24/7 Breathless Breaking News" designed to keep you tuned in for the next batch of ads by big Pharma for conditions that we didn't even know that we had.

My suggestion is to turn them all off, but everyone makes their own choices.

but as bad as the TV news is, it is better than no press at all. In the end, it is American's fault. We accept this because mud fights and conspiracy theories are more appealing than policy debates and character issues. I watch part of Morning Joe as it is on when I get up in the mornings. But I get my news from Washington Post and several other Newspapers.

that is multiple sourcing your newsfeed. Frankly today it is just so very easy to do with phone apps and tablets. I find it much more satisfying to read the news while on the exercise bike in the early AM as opposed to the infotainment media. As to that being better than nothing, well, perhaps it is and they do occasionally brush up against news between commercial breaks, but mostly it's just noise.

Have a good one.

Those that expose the fraud that is Trump and his camp of cronies called Administration have been doing the best job they can be doing. They should be broadcasting from the border and I am sure they will.

Ivanka and Melania Trump make things worse by not taking a more public stand on policies that hurt this country, rather than putting out insincere platitudes. They fear retribution from Donald Trump if they do speak out. Their entrapment is their choice.

The tweets they focus on are exposing a man who is unstable. As Mika just said this morning..."Robert Mueller must be getting very close and Trump is freaking out. He is not right upstairs."

I simply cannot agree with it. I find the infotainment cable media complicit in his selection as nominee and election as president with their celebrity driven horse race coverage of election. I don't think that they are worth my time and simply will not turn on any of them for the reasons stated in a previous posting.

If you like them, please by all means enjoy.

Who the hell has ever taken Ivanka seriously? Oh, I guess Mika once did. Silly Mika.

You want to do some good for the country, Mika? Convince Joe to retire, spend his time fishing or something, and the two of you just go away.

16. Ivanka *might* really have been urging moderation behind the scenes.

She could have been a moderating influence, even if she only raised her voice above a whisper to suggest that kidnapping children wasn't right.

Her father won't be influenced by those he doesn't respect/fear, though, and the good daughter who always did as Daddy said probably doesn't carry much weight. No, people he already owns may not be able to sway him much. Even if Ivanka counseled morality, or at least caution, we would probably never know it.

But she was raised in a bubble much like her father's, and I wouldn't expect much more engagement with the real world from her.
