So don't waste your time. If they had any critical thinking skills at all, they would have never voted for him.

I made a comment about Fox Entertainment not being real news. He kept sending me gifs for the next 7 hours. I finally blocked him.

during the 2016 campaign posted something on FB which denigrated Canadians. In return, I posted an excerpt from Rick mercer's "Talking to Americans" (it's on You Tube). She blocked me and we haven't communicated since. Republicans sure do have thin skins. Can dish it out but can't take it.

These are the people who vote for Republicans because they earn good incomes and they want to pay as little in taxes as possible. They are the well to do in white suburban areas who are able to send their kids to great public schools or to private schools. They believe they have worked hard and deserve every thing they have to live the good life, and the government should not be taking their money for schools without adequate resources or programs to help the poor because those things do not touch them and they lead their busy lives in their own little cocoons. I know some of these people personally, and they will not vote for Democrats because they are unwilling to give up any of their dollars to help someone else. The Atlantic has an interesting article (The Birth of a New Aristocracy) that discusses the group that holds the largest portion of the nation’s wealth—the 9.9% between the ultra wealthy and the rest of us. The 9.9% hold 60% of our wealth versus 20% for the very top and 20% of the wealth for the bottom 90%. These people did not necessarily inherit money, but they’re the professionals whose income has allowed them to gain millionaire status. I think these people are no more reachable for Democrats than the rural, less educated voters who have swallowed Trump’s lies and will support him no matter what he does.
