It seems to me a voluntary DNA screening is a good way forward. DNA test the young children then offer voluntary DNA testing to adults who have had their children kidnapped. Make the offer valid internationally so deported parents can still participate. All of this will be without charge to any of the victims, as will transportation necessary to effect the reunion.

(14,167 posts)For others, I fear we would need to establish "reunification centers." That might involve DNA or proof of identity via national identification and birth certificate (many of the mothers have this information).

(1,819 posts)Release the immigrants that are currently incarcerated and allow them access to civil lawyers to help them track down their kids. Otherwise it will be months or possibly even never that these parents will see them. The government agencies cant handle reuniting families while incarnating whole families and incarcerating new immigrant families coming to this country. Its the most fucked up shit policy Ive seen in mylife time.
