What happened to that Old Testament "Smiting" thing?

Didn't that Old Testament God used to smite people for not obeying His laws.?

Then He changed his mind, and sent His Son to save the world.

Well, it seems that His cessation of smiting didn't work.

And the outcome of His Son's efforts still seem to be on hold.

Having said all this, how about if He just does one more "smiting?"

But I have lost all confidence that America can overcome the gerrymandering, voter suppression tactics, "cleansing" of voter rolls, "lost," or uncounted votes, and every other (should be) crime used by the Republican Party to hold power by hook or by CROOK.

One really has to question whether "He Who Smites" has a sense of decency or justice.

Am I wrong to suspect that this so-called "Being Who Smites" is a right-wing Republican wing-nut?

Or have I committed a "Thought Crime" and now have to worry about getting hit by a lightening bolt?
