That no matter what his crimes, short of murder a and assault of course , if he saves us from more of the Orange Terrorization, he gets big points. He could redeem himself for any collusion with Russians and others.

I'm not as confident as everyone else that Cohen wasn't the ring leader when it comes to Trumps foreign ties. I have not been sold on that yet. I still have thoughts that Cohen was the ring leader and Trump was the stooge.

Still, I am probably in the yes column on your question as it is clear who currently has the power to damage the world.

From what we know, the guy is a slime ball but not sure anything he did was illegal, until he started trying to derail any investigations.

If he cooperates and makes the investigations more effective, then he at least in part, undid the damage he tried to do.

7. No - maybe let him get a reduced sentence, but not off the hook.

He worked with and enabled tRump's actions for a lot of years.

He doesn't need to go to prison for life, but don't let him walk just for turning in his co-conspirator.

Let him plead to a lower-level crime in exchange for flipping, but he definitely needs to serve some time and suffer financial penalties.

Cooperation can be a factor in sentencing, but Cohen appears to have been involved in plenty of his own irregular financial dealings which were not a part of his relationship to Trump.
