http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-ca-senate-feinstein-poll-20180620-story.htmlI was upset with Senator Feinstein when she said that the Child Abductor In Chief 'could be a good president' but she has seen the lack of wisdom in those inopportune words and more than atoned for them. She deserves another term.

(16,985 posts)needed. It would be a shame if de Leon completely ruins his career by attacking her with some superficial talking points that lost here in 2016. It looks like he might be headed that way. "Issues" being mostly sneers and childish insults from hypocrites who just want to personally insult. Voters turn away from that.

(16,985 posts)enough to understand. They just react to the initial words and not the nuance that follows. Lately she has been more direct and she is quite formidable in her demeanor and focus. We don't need to see Democrats attacking each other anymore. I think people are really sick of it.
In the meantime, Republicans scored a recall success by unseating Democrat Josh Newman in Orange County District 29 because of his support in the gas tax increase. They are pointing to Democrats saying that Democrats will be increasing taxes all over, and it worked in recalling Newman. This is once-solid Republican Orange County, but it still shows that their attack thwarted a blue wave taking over after Hillary Clinton won Orange County for the first time since around FDR days. This was a wake-up call that increasing taxes are still an uphill battle for huge portions of California, and we need the stability of familiar Democrats right now. First things first.
