or AN anti Christ for sure.

I have had this conversation with family members more than once.

They say Trump is to stupid to be THE anti Christ. I say that the devil himself possesses the anti Christ so the stupidity of Trump wouldn't matter.

Trump has certainly lived his entire life in opposition to everything Jesus Christ taught, that is a stone cold fact. And he and the GOP have caused a great falling away of a vast part of people in this country claiming to be Christians as well.

More importantly, why wouldn't any reasonable person immediately do the paperwork or have NYC change the property number to anything else? Even just so it's 66-65 at least? Practically the same for address and mail purposes: "The Sixty-Six Sixty-Five".

Unless the owner somehow buys even a little into that mystique...

I know that supernatural wubbins stuff only works if you buy into it, but optics, man!

And I haven't darkened a church door in decades.

The main reason I never accepted the Antichrist myth was that I refused to believe that anyone so transparently evil and awful right out of the gate could ever rise to such a level of power. Well, we all see how that worked out.

If Trump ever came out and flat-out said he was the Antichrist as predicted in The Revelation, his followers would LOVE it. For that would mean that the Bible is true, and Jesus is coming back to throw all the libruls, muslins, and furriners in the Lake of Fire.

I used to feel guilty about that but not anymore seeing as how an openly evil bastard like Trump has the backing of 80% of more of the evangelical right and all their lying institutions as well.

I know how you feel. I always wondered how America which has a Christian church on every corner and in many storefronts even could ever follow an evil leader like the anti Christ.

Well Trump and his GOP cult have totally provided the answer to that question for sure.

Is Trump "the one"? I do not know but we will find out soon I guess.

I believe very much in karma, and the law of karma is this: every thought, word and action creates a cause for which there is an effect. Sadly, it is our nation that is doing this - a few sociopaths at the top and then a bunch of corporate-propagandized bleating sheep following behind.

So it is up to us to keep fighting the good fight, to be warriors of the light, to stand up for what is right and decent and just.

I'm so furious about ICE putting these kids in cages I can spit nails. Just called my US Representative, a 'freedom caucus' member to express my fury. I said my dad fought in the second world war and it cost this nation 480,000 lives to get rid of Hitler and now we're doing the same thing? NO! This is not acceptable, this is not America. We don't rip children from their mothers and put them in cages in hot tents in southern Texas.

If one child dies, I said, there need to be trials for crimes against humanity because this is absolutely immoral. I told his staff member that I want him to take a lead in stopping this right now.

We'll see how that goes.

Years ago, as I was divorcing religion, I read somewhere that Sigmund Freud said (paraphrasing) that as we evolved and became self-aware, primitive man started inventing gods to help explain the unknown and dispel the fear of death. That made sense to me.

It seems modern man is still inventing gods, and we probably always will. We also make a lot of very bad choices.

Or perhaps, the line from Hamlet:

There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.

Up to us, I guess, to fight for the light; resist this horrible nightmare. Because whether we call it 'anti-Christ' or decline and fall or whatever, the bottom line is getting rid of Trump and his nazis.

30. I could never understand why they would root for an AntiChrist if they were Christian?
Mon Jun 18, 2018, 11:03 AM
Jun 2018

Not even my long exposure to SEC football (via spouse, from a Crimson Tide family) where it seems you root for certain teams to lose and give your team or your region better standing can explain that. At least there's a range of players that can

In a dual system, there is no "well, if Tennessee and O'le Miss win out, Auburn can't make it to the top 10..."; there is only striving to see Good win (which puts you on the Christ team), and striving to see Evil win (which puts you on the Anti-Christ's team)

If one is pridefully ignoring or supporting the suffering of innocents, why would Christ trust that person to be on "his team" at the end? S/He's already betraying his teachings by their actions and words...

Evil wins when good people stand by and do nothing.
What these so-called Final Days Evangelicals are - they're salacious voyeurs.
From what I've observed, it seems as if they're fine allowing a horrific crime to be committed just so they can wallow in the suffering of the innocent until they finally call the policeman - and then they pretty much climax by getting off watching the criminal getting shot. Instead of preventing the crime in the first place, avoiding all the pain and suffering.
Who would want to associate with those pervy predators and losers?

Not that most are, but it’s necessary to understand that turning the other cheek while children are being deliberately persecuted and abused is the anti Christ itself.

We have free will so therefore we have to choose what to do. Doing nothing is also to do something, and carries no innocence as an excuse.

Many Pastors do not because they fear their flock. Do not want to Anger the God that will make them wealthy. Prosperity Preachers who are only concerned to their own wealth.

Some one I know listened to Jeremiah when they could not make it to Church until one day he compared Ivanka and Jared to Joseph and Mary. God sent its a nice Jewish couple!

Like the email I received on a Prayer chain, no less, comparing Trump to Churchill. Because Churchill drank and smoked they should over look Trumps faults.

Do they see the sickness inside them?

if he is or isn't, there's nevertheless a level of straight-up evil that I never imagined could take hold here, in a country that was supposedly founded on the notion that free people could govern themselves in a way that ensured "liberty and justice for all." I don't think he's uniquely evil - after all, Hitler and Stalin weren't that long ago, and they did far worse damage than Trump has done - so far, anyway. But what's horrifying to me is that someone as blatantly bad in so many ways could flaunt his evil and get away with it because there are a whole lot of people in this country who like what he does!

Why? What the hell is wrong with people that they can't see what he is?
