...they will most likely be ignored by Trump supporters. This is paraphrasing a comment from a guest on the MSNBC Morning Joe TV show.
It is a shocking comment. The guest compared it to a "vortex" that the Republican Party has been drawn into. The truth doesn't matter. It's a cult of personality.
Perhaps it might be better if Mueller were to spoon-feed them just a bite at a time?

(18,837 posts)The only option I see at this point is a "Get Out The Vote" push between now and November, and beyond.
I see no evidence whatsoever that Ryan and McConnell will do anything, regardless of what evidence is presented to them.
We've had three tornadoes whirling simultaneously...the Mueller investigation, the Stormy Daniels mess, and now the child concentration camps. Ryan's stock answer to everything is "I haven't seen anything on that." McConnell's response is that this is the best time for conservatives, ever.
The only way I see Ryan and McConnell taking action is that if sidelining Trump protected their own interests. The midterms are on everyone's mind. The Republicans are focused on purging voter rolls and every other trick they can pull to stack the deck. Unless we elect a Democratic majority into Congress, I don't see anything happening, regardless of what Muller produces.
State charges, obviously, will have nothing to do with Ryan or Mueller. Trump will have to play his "pardon power" wisely, and I don't think he's capable of that. He knows it will cost him, but I don't think he really cares about that. I think he's still thinking he can walk up to someone on the street and shoot them and get away with it, and so far, he's not been proven wrong on that.
