Since Trump doesn't ever apologize, & this mistake is written in stone. Good by Republican Party.

Most politicians who make mistakes, apologize and move on. That is something Trump never does. If this brings his approval down to 25 percent, will he apologize and change his mind?...Has he in the past?..Will he say, "I was wrong about this, let us reunite the children with the parents?"
. What do you think???

.Not likely. Therefore, this will be an issue for awhile (if indeed Trump does not change this, or apologize or both)...Now for most of us in this country, this is totally wrong. You cannot take kids away from their parents like this. And Trump is too stupid to know this.

If Trump does not change this, and if this is written in stone, then the Democrats have a chance to destroy the Republican party.

Meh. Republicans will simply pretend that Trump never existed. Just like George W. Bush. DetlefK Jun 2018 #2

Mexico will pay for the wall. The kids are hostages now until American tax payers pay for his wall. This is not rocket science.

When was the last time you heard a Republican mention George W. Bush by name? Nobody wants to talk about him!
His administration slithered from catastrophe to catastrophe and now the GOP refuses to acknowledge his very existence!!!

The same thing will happen with Trump.
"Trump is special."
"We shouldn't judge Trump by the same standards we apply to other Presidents."
"Oh, you and your Trump-Derangement-Syndrome!"
"Trump doesn't count."
"Trump wasn't a real Republican."

but that is really a "maybe".. Let's say that that number is 5 or 6, and those republicans really fight Trump on this. That could also destroy this party. The infighting will be vicious. Why?...what is the topic?..taking children from their parents in an apparent illegal way. Trump can do this, vs Trump cannot do this. We are in this fight and we know we are right. Everyone knows we are right...
.........How do you defend taking children away from their parents???...........
