FBI agent whose gun went off while dancing taken into custody

An off-duty FBI agent who accidentally fired a gun that dropped out of its holster while he was doing a back-flip at a nightclub was booked into custody on Tuesday, jail records showed.

Chase Bishop, 29, was being held in a detention center in downtown Denver. He faces charges for second-degree assault but he has not been formally charged, according to NBC affiliate KUSA.

Gun apologists everywhere keeping on claiming that the vast majority of gun owners are "responsible". But there are too many stories like this of cops or sheriffs or this FBI agent who are supposedly well trained and manage to allow a gun to go off, injuring someone.

5. From the clips I've seen, it looks like the agent just sort of walked off after he pick up his gun.

It was never clear if he stayed on the scene to talk to the the police or not.
