Did you know? Republicans and Democrats have a different God!

From the local rag in Chester County, PA:

http://www.dailylocal.com/article/20120803/OPINION/120809850/sound-off

“This is why I won’t vote for a Democrat. I won’t vote for a Democrat because they don’t serve the same God as I do. My God is a loving God who gave his life for the entire human race. Their god is a god of envy. Their god will abort young babies in the womb. Their god wants no voter ID so we can have voter fraud. Only the Democrats want this. Their god wants gays to marry and be equal to everyone else but they never can be because my God said that marriage is reserved for a man and a woman. My God loves them so much he wants them to obey him and since He created them, He has the best idea. Democrats cannot tell the whole truth. They can’t, because their god lies.”

Mainstream one-god religion will never reconcile their conundrum -- "god is love" but evidence shows it's really a murderous asshole.

Epicurus:

"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing?
Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing?
Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing?
Then why call him God?"

some people were born different and they were born to love their own sex I wanted to stop them from sinning. I didn't know then that a woman will have an abortion if she feels the need to, and that denying her will damage her more than sporting her desperate need. I did not know that there are many different understandings of God and that some people feel that their lives function better without believing in an omnipotent being who would sometimes smite their enemies or engineer a miracle.

Before I knew that the world is vast and marvelously kind and wonderful in it's own varied beliefs, I thought this way. I had no idea that love is universal with or without God and codes of justice and respect are deeply sewn into every culture. Even animals in a healthy environment conduct their lives in a touchingly loving manner.

Mercy, justice and love are the tenets of a country or world run by the best of in all religions. Democrats are mature enough to know that everyone who recognizes a God sees a different face and that face along with the person professing that God must be weighed by it's treatment of all it's creation.

The main purpose for organized religion is to control the weak minded. Always has been. What better way to control weak minded people who need to be told what to believe than to invent an imaginary higher power, then pretend to speak for that imaginary higher power?

I don't happen to believe in the bible god. But, it is clear that Republicans and Democrats do have vastly different ideas of god. Republicans like the idea of a hell n brimstone god that smites gays. Democrats believe in a god that would take care of anyone who has a need. Republicans would bring back stoning for certain people if they could. Democrats have a hard time believing punishment should last for an eternity. Other than that this person seems to have a very simplistic view of the world and the two parties. BTW, I know I shouldn't have but I LMAO'd that um editorial

I can't disagree that the two deities seem remarkably disparate to be accommodated monotheistically.

Which makes that whole "Romney prayer in the wailing wall" thing really really weird.

Is the God of Mormonism the God of the Bible?

A Comparison of the Mormon god with the God of the Bible
that proves they are not the same and that
Mormons are not Christians.

According the Mormonism their "Heavenly Father" was once a man of "mortal flesh."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From these statements, made by the founders and leaders of Mormonism, we can see that they believe in a plurality of gods in the Universe. Their god is only one of an innumerable number of gods in the Universe and is an exalted man of "flesh and bone" who was given charge of this world. However, they do not worship a plurality of gods, only worshiping or being responsible to the god of earth who is literally their "Heavenly Father" meaning they are his sexually produced off-spring. In fact all angels, Jesus, Lucifer and all men are the sexually produced children of their god in heaven.

The Mormon god is literally a man who began his existence as something they call an "intelligence." This being they refer to as an "intelligence" did not have a body but existed as simply pure intelligence somewhere in the Universe. They do not speculate on where the "intelligence" came from believing that it like the universe had no beginning. However, on another planet (not the earth) out in the universe a god (not the god of earth) and one of his wives had a spirit child and this intelligence was given a spirit body and was born as a child. As a spirit child he lived in the heaven with his father and mother god in a heavenly family. Next, this spirit child allowed to come to his father god's planet and get a human body when a human couple on the planet had a child. This human child grew up on that planet and was born a sinner. However, in time he was redeemed by being faithful to the gospel of his heavenly father god and lived a life doing good works. He afterwards died and was resurrected to what the Mormons call the "Celestial" heaven. In the Celestial heaven this man was declared to be "worthy" of becoming a god and was exalted to godhood. He then was appointed to be the god of earth by a counsel of gods that live at the center of the universe near a star or planet called Kolob. Kolob is mentioned in the LDS scripture in the Book of Abraham and is said to be the nearest heavenly body to the place where their god dwells. This now god, retained his physical body, becoming in his essence a god of "flesh and bones."

Not that I care, just saying.
