French President Macron blasts Trump's "incoherence" and "little words"

The Hill:

“International cooperation cannot depend on fits of anger or little words. Let us be serious and worthy of our people,” French President Emmanuel Macron's office said in a statement obtained by Le Monde.

The statement, which did not mention Trump by name, appeared to come down on the president for "incoherence and inconsistency" in his snub of the communique, which includes a commitment to a “rules-based international trading system” and to combating protectionism.

“We spent two days to obtain a text and commitments. We will stand by them and anyone who would depart from them, once their back was turned, shows their incoherence and inconsistency,” the statement said.

Macron declared Thursday during a joint press conference with Trudeau in Ottawa that no leader lasts forever, saying, “The six countries of the G-7 without the United States are a bigger market taken together than the American market. There will be no world hegemony if we know how to organize ourselves. And we don’t want there to be one."

together than the American market"

We CANNOT stand against the world economically or militarily. We are the world's only superpower as long as the rest of the world allows it.

We stood at the top, and the only way that ends is if we have an ass as a leader who pisses everyone else off. This quote should be front page headlines and every congressperson -- GOP or dem -- should be commenting on it.

Putin's goal is to break up the NATO Alliance and the European Union.

Trump's goal reflects Putin's.

My money is on China, quite frankly......

More people means eventually the Euro would be the preferred reserve currency.

Add to that the lack of patriotism of the financial class who can simply move.....

he is no longer a member of their group , then get both Brazil , and India to join their group. They then should have all his businesses and interests targeted for increased taxes, and banning him from their countries. He's their enemy, and the enemy for majority of the American people also.

for Donald J. Trump to ever see these people again. He has burned his bridges and they are not showing him a welcome mat.

he's earned every snub that comes his way. With trump as our "leader", the rest of the world will happily move on without us. It will be years before we can repair the damage trump is inflicting on our country.
