This tweet will comfort you and will show you our leaders don't see Trump as your representative

I have said it countless times and will say it again and again :

As European, like many of my fellow citizens, we distinguish very well between you, our American friends, and the monstrosity who is squatting the WH. We don't see him as your official representative.

I'm glad and proud that our leaders are now speaking louder and expressing very clearly their thoughts, although it is in the traditional way : diplomatically.

It means a lot to me to hear that the world doesn’t see all of us as being like Trump or his supporters. I worry about that a lot.

Thank you.

You're welcome.

In French we say only imbeciles never change their minds.

Well, I am one then : I'm not going to change my opinion anytime soon, never actually.

through that loathsome man-baby squatting in the Oval Office. It is comforting to know that many outside our borders know that most of us abhor and reject him as a commander in chief.

of what the United States is, and stands for. He's an aberration in the continuing history of our country. In future U.S. history books there should be an *asterisk* next to his name as President of the United States.

Actually, the finest foreign service office of ANY country I have ever met. He is retired now.

His assessment of the G7 was (diplomatic as usual) "we live in strange times," and he even said it in English (not his usual language).

I think everyone on DU is smart enough to read between the lines on that comment.
