Clint Eastwood is not a chicken sandwich

Too bad he has endorsed Mitt Romney. He also endorsed John McCain in 2008, but somehow we all survived. Frankly, I don't much care about celebrity endorsements of political candidates.

I've seen lots of his movies and I've enjoyed plenty of them. Others, not so much.

If you're upset and don't want to watch his movies anymore, fine. But to me that's like saying you'd never want to see St. Peter's in Rome because it was financed by selling indulgences.

everything in their own worst interest thinking the ultrawealthy are their friends and/or that they will eventually join the ultrawealthy. They live in a delusional world and drag the rest of us down.

work is always the same set of lazy actor tricks he worked up with the older films. Yawn.
Had he not, just a few months ago, claimed to support equality while he condemned those who oppose it and called their arguments 'bullshit' he'd not be getting called out for supporting bullshit. The man says 'This is stupid bullshit, and I endorse it'. It is hard to hear such extremely contradictory statements without pointing out that the speaker simply could not be truthful about both things. Clint endorses bigotry, it is that simple. He supports that which he knows to be bullshit harmful to others and he does so not just for money, but for more money.

Schwarzenshitter is another one. I guess that is why it is called typecasting.

If I watch a movie and later another one with the same actor and I don't recognize him/her then they are acting. Or their personality is different in the role they play. But if they use the same mannerisms or speech from movie to movie. Ehh

But the subject of many of his films just doesn't interest me.

just makes my skin crawl. Maybe it's not so much him but the western scene that just doesn't appeal.

I would think he was a bit smarter than a Mitt supporter but I suppose he's worried about his millions more than anything else.

O well. No big deal, just one more moran is all.

I never realized he was a "Sheep" and would stick with Any party just because......
I thought he was smarter. One is not a "traitor to party" by voting for the opposition-it's called critical thinking and doing whats best for all-not just the party for the partys sake.

Clint Eastwood is entitled to endorse anyone he wants just as any other Hollywood actor/director. Don't agree with his endorsement, but he does have a right to.

The dude has always been a winger...endorsed Gramps in '08. Just because he voiced a commercial that many considered "Pro Obama" (more pro auto industry) means only one thing: he got a paycheck. I would have been pleasantly surprised had he endorsed the President but in this year of party purity any attempts to cross over is viewed with extreme venom.

On the big picture his endorsement means nothing. The Chick Fellatio situation should be a wake-up call to Democrats as to how energized and mobilized the great unhinged has become. They will be at the polls in November and will even vote for Willard thus here's a visual example of what we'll be up against. Are people here up to the challenge of beating them where it matters most...at the ballot box? I'm not sold...

If he it too stupid to understand what a Rmoney presidency would do to this country, this world actually, then I turn my back on him.

When a super star makes an endorsement, it is important.

his endorsement of Romney doesn't change a thing as far as I'm concerned. I will always be a huge fan of his. I think he is closer to the libertarians than the republicans politically anyhow.

in some ways it's like he decided to endorse him knowing he will lose anyways. this way he can keep his republican supporters whenever he makes a movie they wont like by saying he votes gop.

it would have been better (for romney) if he had endorsed earlier and especially over the ads during the superbowl when republicans thought he was supporting Obama. he could have came out with a strong reply about how he was goign to support the republican candidate.

.. for actors who have stupid political views.

Unless it's somebody like Ronald Reagan ...
and it's more as though I hate everything
he stood for and did instead of hating him
personally.

He was a lousy actor in mostly crummy
movies, so it's easier for me to dislike him
as a person.

Now actors like Tom Selleck, Helen Hayes,
and some other Reeps... well I just like them
and can't help it. But I still hate their politics.
