Strange Case going on in Brighton Colorado re:pit bull

a child opens garage door accidently. family pit bull runs out. friendly dog never harmed anyone. eventually gets chased by a few police officers. officers catch him. dog barks a lot but doesnt bite.

police label him a dangerous dog and plan to kill him. word gets out on the internet and 11,000 emails sent to police station asking for mercy. police get pissed off at all the emails and start calling people back and threatening them and telling people that they already killed the dog and to move on.

one cop in particular leaves messages on peoples voice mails and those voice mails get sent to the fbi.

next hearing for the dog is aug 10 but right now no ones even sure if the dog is still alive. could be massive legal trouble for the city.

That's why I was so happy to read yesterday that my state (MA) just passed a law and Governor Patrick signed it which basically eliminates BSL legislation in the state and narrows the definition of "dangerous dog". I was extremely happy with the bill .

Anyway, I'm off to write an e-mail to these bastards.

Hope they don't know where the car keys are kept.

The owners have been charged with allowing two dogs to run at large and having a “vicious dog”...

Drop the vicious dog charge, fine Dre's owners including room and board while in custody, and move on.

Dogs are often a reflection of their owners.

As I said in my title I have a friend with two pit-bulls and they are the sweetest cuddly dogs. Much like the wonderful black lab I used to have that was a bed-hog but so wonderful.

From the link I can't see where the dog was threatening anyone.

Sure, a lot of pit-bulls have been bred and trained to be killers. But that doesn't mean we should judge them all based on what owners have done to a few.
