When you're wrong, you're wrong. I was wrong.

Here was the post: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002968092

First, I was no concern troll. That accusation is laughable.

Second, and to the point, I was wrong. It was a moment like Harry Reid calling Rmoney out, with great hyperbole (and even begging for substantiation from an unnamed source), that I thought the media would pounce on. I thought the entire focus would then shift on the accuser and shift away from Rmoney's tax problems.

Thankfully, I was wrong. Kick the shit out of him, Harry. Keep calling for those taxes!!!

I really can't believe the media isn't trying to flip the narrative on this. This is bad news for Rmoney.

For all those who questioned my analysis and offered a counter-argument, I owe you a beer. For all those concern trolls worried about concern trolls, I owe you nothing but scorn. You'll get nothing and like it.

knows the information is correct and that Romney cannot ever sue him for slander or libel.

I said someone would overplay the hand. No one did. Wrong #1 (enough time has elapsed that my original contention is officially shit).

I asserted in this post that Harry overstepped his boundaries, but he did not overstep. Wrong #2.

Sigh. And yet . . . Get him a body-bag, Harry.

There is no doubt Harry has the goods. Anyone who thinks about those steps realizes it.

He enjoys it.

Maybe I wasn't wrong; maybe I'm doing all of this to pleasure myself.

Now that would be perverse.

really good critical thinkers admit their mistakes and learn from them.

I still strongly support and applaud your original concerns, as we have to think like that to do the three dimensional chess that a Karl Rove mind can come up with - the classic being the destruction of Dan Rather's career with the incorrect font but correct info about GW's combat avoidance, string pulling and privilege.

It has yet to be proven that you were utterly wrong. It ain't over yet.

I think lefty progressives use truth, facts, honesty, reason and objectivity in their thinking. Republicans think to win by any means necessary and right or wrong or facts and truth are immaterial to their goals.

We lefties are congenitally incapable of thinking like that, but we damn well better understand it and pre-empt it. It's an art of war know your enemy thing, and we sure as hell better be able to at least outwit these sociopaths.

You're helping us learn to think two steps ahead of their standard playbook. It is a substantial contribution.

And then she gets mean.

Don't worry, she'll just watch her programs and "fall asleep" soon enough.

... if, as I suspect, Romney's tax returns reveal he paid 10% per year for a decade... Harry's secret tip and his subsequent exaggeration may raise the outrage expectations so high that when Romney reveals an what would otherwise be an outrageous set of tax returns, the media will shrug their shoulders and he will escape without nearly the damage people are tempted to dream about at this point.

And the economy will go back to being the determining factor in this race.

/(not really) concern trolling
