Anybody have any early vibes about the CA jungle primary?

No matter what happens I don’t think it will be accurate to extrapolate the results to a national level because of the idiotic jungle primary. Thanks to Schwarzenegger for that.

So many people vote by mail now and any ballot post marked today will be counted.

My guess it will days before we know the outcome of the House races.

There are too many Dem candidates I think. I didn’t recognize many names and they are listed alphabetical so you need to know who you want to vote for to pick them out of the list.

Low information voters may pick any name they see or skip a item if they don’t see someone they know.

Also in my area there are a lot mailers which I think are just propaganda and not informational.

Schwarzenegger pushed for it (as a bribe to get his lt. gov. to agree to push his budget through the state legislature) but it was put on the ballot and and a majority of voters said yes. Now to get rid of it will require another ballot initiative.

This year I'm pessimistic, it's a 2016 leftover. I won't weigh in on any expectations for that reason.
