If you're not paying attention, they're quickly overweight.

9. We rescued both of ours as adults.

Neither had any obedience or other training. They're naturally friendly and good dogs, though. They walk fine on the leash and don't bark or bay too much. I have been a complete failure at teaching them anything. Sit. Nope. Stay. Absolutely not. Still, they don't do anything bad, and they're house-trained. They're just nice, friendly dogs, as beagles usually are. They love children and pretty much everyone else, too. They even are friendly with our two cats. We often see all four of them on the big dog bed, sleeping together.

I like beagles.

15. Good for you...my 3 dogs are all rescue dogs too...

My folks live behind a state park where unfortunately, folks dropped off unwanted pets on a secluded part of the road. One happy thing is that my folks had over 27 dogs over 35 years (they loved them) and I have 3 of them too. Wouldn't take a million bucks for any of them, so in a way, we are blessed but on the other hand, it's despicable that this happens...

And those poor dogs look so miserable. I would be sad also if I had to sit on Eric’s lap. Those dogs must feel the evil.
