Guilty plea for man accused in beating of 11-day-old daughter
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. –The man accused in the brutal beating of his 11-day old daughter has pleaded guilty in the case.
According to the Bernalillo County District Attorney’s Office, Larry Sanchez made the plea in court Thursday morning to first-degree child abuse. The felony carries a mandatory 18-year-sentence.
Sanchez was arrested in July of last year and charged in the case. Deputies say Sanchez had beaten the baby so badly that she suffered multiple fractured ribs and bruising all over her body.
