Donald Trump's trade war masks a darker agenda: Aiding the far right in Europe

U.S. ambassador to Germany vows to help the far right, and Trump’s foreign policy looks even more sinister

Amid all the brouhaha about President Trump's lawyers declaring that he is above the law, there is other news, some of it just as alarming as the idea that Trump has decided that he has "absolute power" to pardon himself. I touched on the growing trade war in my Monday column and discussed how Trump is alienating America's traditional allies in Europe and North America, while cozying up to strongman dictators who clearly see him as a mark. Even his good pal, French President Emmanuel Macron, is in the doghouse for failing to properly kowtow. CNN described a phone call about migration and trade between the two leaders:

"Just bad. It was terrible," one source told CNN. "Macron thought he would be able to speak his mind, based on the relationship. But Trump can't handle being criticized like that."

Earlier, Macron had stated publicly that “economic nationalism leads to war -- this is exactly what happened in the 1930s,” which undoubtedly meant little to Trump, who knows nothing about history or what is meant by "economic nationalism." In any case, all that hugging and hand-holding didn't get the French leader far. With Trump everything is a one-way street leading directly to his ego.

Trump's understanding of trade is simplistic and he is not conversant in economics. He is just using the issue to show his dominance and make the world "stop laughing at us" which he has said a thousand times:

and the republican party are actively trying to topple their governments as well.

They want tyranny and fascism worldwide and as Dump's ambassador to Germany let slip out, they will be working for that goal in their countries!

As long as Shitler is in the white house, the US government will sadly be an enemy of freedom, democracy, liberalism and rule of law in every country in this world!

WAKE UP Canada, EU, NATO, etc. Trump will undermine the very foundations of your governments as he does to ours every day.
